Bug Description

oslotest is installing a shell script called /usr/bin/oslo_debug_helper.sh. The .sh extension *must* be stripped out, this isn't Debian policy compliant. I'm going to remove this extension from the Debian package.

I don't have a strong opinion about this one way or the other. If we want to rename it, that's fine. I'm also OK if we close this as wontfix because we don't expect people to actually use oslotest from a system package.

It looks like oslo installs has a few other binary files (at least: oslo-config-generator and oslo-messaging-zmq-receiver) and they don't have the .sh extension. I will gladly rename the file.

Hi. This is weird, because I didn't find these installed in /usr/bin. Also, there's no script entry point in the setup.cfg file, and I didn't see them either under the tools folder. So, where should I find oslo-config-generator and oslo-messaging-zmq-receiver?

Cheers,

Thomas

Hey Thomas, I meant *other* oslo projects, sorry about the confusion.

oslo-messaging-zmq-receiver -> https://github.com/openstack/oslo.messaging/blob/master/setup.cfg#L28
oslo-config-generator -> https://github.com/openstack/oslo.config/blob/master/setup.cfg#L36
