Bug Description

msttcorefonts downloads loads of archives of Microsoft fonts from Sourceforce. For the proxy URL it uses:

  db_get msttcorefonts/http_proxy
  HTTP_PROXY=${RET:+-p$RET}

but this doesn't seem to get set/updated anywhere.

durring the install of msttcorefont, the configure part doesn't use the proxy configured in synaptic to download the font files.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug seems similar to bug 2015. Please, could you confirm this?

Your debconf priority probably isn't set correctly to be prompted for a proxy server.

The question to set the proxy server is at priority level medium. You can use "dpkg-reconfigure -pmedium msttcorefonts" and you should be prompted for a proxy server URL. A new version of msttcorefonts is in the archive (1.2ubuntu3) that will check for a proxy server set in the environment and if so use that to download the fonts.
