Bug Description

I have a question that I need to ask you all, it was pretty good, running yesterday, then I did a save activity due to chores. Then this morning I was to "resume" my activity, (mind you, brakes and throttle has not been touched, but just to click on "resume" only) then all of the sudden the "wheel slip" indicators keeps going off like nuts, even I simply threw the throttle to 0, glide my brakes into a full stop, and it still goes nuts. Did anyone else have that issue? I have never had that issue on the previous versions of OR. Any suggestions?

Thanks

EDIT: I tried like 3 or 4 other activities on CR Indy route, plus few on HSC route as well, same issue as I do a test save on all of the activities.. I just simply started the activity for a good 20 minutes, no wheel slips, nothing, then did a save activity, then resume again minutes later, still doing it...

ADDENIUM: When I get to the "Autopilot" mode, it's like nothing happened... Then turn off Autopilot, it just goes nuts. No hills, mountains, etc, but just keeps "blaring wheelslip alarms"

Thanks

Just one thing to add.. Is there a way to "disable wheelslip indicators and or sounds" on the OR "Options/General" tab? Just had to ask.. Thanks

Hi David,

Thanks for posting this.

Could you also upload the OpenRailsLog.txt file from your Windows Desktop for a Resume operation where you experienced the problem. Can you also provide a web address where the loco can be downloaded?

Best wishes,

Chris Jakeman

I have been experiencing the same thing using using SNCF rolling stock. On resuming an activity the wheelslip indicator continues to sound and despite getting up to and holding a decent speed the throttle rolls back to 0 slowly without continually pushing it up. The wheelsip cannot be overcome. This only occurs with some models and the same model used on any route produces the same behaviour.

Frequently occurs to the Bombardier AGC series linked to below.

Note this has started after upgrading to version 1.4. Reluctant to go back to 1.3 as the graphics is sooo much better and runs smoothly.
