A PR has been generated. Considering that the crash event occurs very seldom, to avoid unneeded CPU burden a simple try-catch mechanism has been implemented. When the catch occurs an error message is displayed. In such situation there will be a most likely small, often negligible consequence on the sound management, which is anyhow better than the crash.
