In the "src"-directory, there is a "tranceiver" [sic!] directory that is obviously superfluous

The directory name seems to be a typo. The real "transceiver" directory exists and everything is fine with it.

I think the "tranceiver" directory and its two files can be safely removed because they are never actually referenced:
