Bug Description

I have a few suggestions about changing the English translation.

1.
When connecting to WRTS to open a list, the title of the Window is: "Choice WRTS list:". While this is valid English (Dutch: "Keuze WRTS lijst:"), I think it would be better to make that "Choose WRTS list:" (Dutch: "Kies WRTS lijst:").

2.
When exporting to WRTS, it says: "The wordlist is succesfully exported to WRTS." I think you can't say this ("is exported") in English (correct me if I'm wrong). If you can, it's unusual. Also, it would be more logical to make "wordlist" two words; so "word list".
This could be either "The word list has succesfully been exported to WRTS." (Dutch: "De woordenlijst is succesvol geëxporteerd naar WRTS.") or "The word list was succesfully exported to WRTS." (Dutch: "De woordenlijst was succesvol geëxporteerd naar WRTS.").

3.
In the Settings dialog, there is one paragraph with the name: "Hardly typable characters". "Hardly" is a bit of a strange word to use here (Dutch: "Nauwelijks"), cause it's not almost impossible to type them; it's just not easy. I would take the same direction as Microsoft Windows & Word and make this either "Special Characters" or "Symbols".

Let's keep this open as a thread for more suggestions for the English translation.

My English is still at school level, so I'm glad you've reported this issue. I'll fix it in the near future.

I also agree about keeping this bug open.

About 2.: "Is exported" is correct English, but I think "The word list has succesfully been exported to WRTS." would be better.

About #2 - best wording would be: Word list exported to WRTS.
You don't need to specify it was successful as it is something already finished, implicitly successful.

About #3 - 'Special characters' sounds fine.

Other issues:

- 'showed' can be found 6 times in the source (either src or comment), all 6 use is incorrect, please replace them with 'shown' or better, 'displayed'.
- Shuffle answer -> Shuffle answers (you cannot shuffle 1 answer)
- Right Answers -> Correct Answers
- toolBar -> Toolbar
- opened -> open (several uses, like opened file, opened wordlist)
- succesfull -> successful

etc etc

I've included a patch file with all the above changes, please review and apply.

@kilo:
Thanks for the patch! I'll apply it, but not directly because I've little time at the moment. (Expect it somewhere coming weekend to be in one of the bzr braches.)

Here you can clearly see OpenTeacher isn't written (at least until now), by native English speakers.

wordlisttable might not be correct English word list table is better.

 43: «Click here to remove the in the wordlisttable selected row(s).» Doesn't really make sense"Click here to remove the selected row(s) from the wordlisttable" is better

In the "Teach Me!" window, the "Think Answers" should most likely be "Think Answer".

Joel: we like to keep this bug open for any future translation mistakes, since it's easier than opening a whole new bug each time for translators (at least, that's our rationale).

Nice you're giving the bug tracker a look, though :)

Alright, so we're a few years further, and I now prefer new bugs for new mistakes. So going to close this one at last.
