smart-ksmarttray reports '/opt/kde3/bin/ksmarttray' not found.

rpms installed

There was no libkdeui.so.4 but there is a libkdeui.so.5 file.

This is a opensuse packaging problem, need to rebuild "smart-ksmarttray" after upgrading the system kde libs...
Alternatively you can try the PyKDE version of ksmarttray in Bug #437671, and hope that it is better supported ?
