Seems to be the same (or at least same symptoms) that I see on karmic amd64 running 2.6.31-17-generic with "Intel Corporation Wireless WiFi Link 5300" (thinkpad x200s). I can get it unstuck by flipping the wireless hw kill switch to turn wireless off and then on again after a few seconds.

When broken the lines:

[2409838.034227] iwlagn 0000:03:00.0: No space for Tx
[2409838.034241] iwlagn 0000:03:00.0: Error sending REPLY_RXON: enqueue_hcmd failed: -28
[2409838.034248] iwlagn 0000:03:00.0: Error setting new RXON (-28)

Keep repeating over and over again.
