Applet crashes when you try to add it to the panel

On Lucid, 64bit when I try to use the panel applets (either one) I get an error like the one shown in the attached screenshot. The command line program seems to be working though. I installed the package using

python setup.py build
python setup.py install

The error with the panel applet happens immediately when I try to add it to the panel. I never get a chance to see it, enter a password or interact with it in any way.

I got this error too, and in my case it was fixed by links from /usr/bin/rescuetime* to /usr/bin/local/rescuetime*

My solution was to edit these two rescuetime .server files...

/usr/lib/bonobo/servers/rescuetime_tracker.server
/usr/lib/bonobo/servers/rescuetime_notifier.server

and edit the location in the third line of each from "/usr/bin/rescuetime..." to "/usr/local/bin/rescuetime..."

This is on Lucid 32-bit, but might be the same issue you are having.
