Bug Description

https://www.openstack.org/summit/barcelona-2016/vote-for-speakers/

If you open a talk, copy the URL found in the address bar and try to open it later, it doesn't work. You are redirected to the first talk of the list.

For example:

This is the 2nd talk in the list: https://www.openstack.org/summit/barcelona-2016/vote-for-speakers/presentation/14962 (Automating ITIL Configuration Management for OpenStack)
It will redirect to https://www.openstack.org/summit/barcelona-2016/vote-for-speakers/presentation/14961 (Deploying and optimizing for cloud storage systems using Swift simulator) which is the 1st talk of the list.

I know the announcement email mentions "Please Note: Based on community feedback, unique URLs to submissions have been removed for this Summit."

I feel this is very inconvenient when it comes to sharing interesting talks you find to your friends and coworkers. You have to tell them to search for specific keywords in hope they will find the talk proposal.

If this was done to counter "vote brigading/stacking", people willing to game the vote will find ways to link to talks anyway. I feel the removal of links is an inconvenience the end user shouldn't have to deal with because some people abused the system.

Mathieu,

Thank you for your feedback. We're working to answer the needs of the community and are always open to criticism. Removing unique URLs has been a long standing request. As always, we're open to additional feedback and have noted yours here, ahead of the next round of voting in Boston.

Thank you,
Jimmy McArthur

Hello Jimmy,

Note that although unique URLs are not working currently, my acquaintance has found an alternative.

For example,
https://www.openstack.org/summit/barcelona-2016/vote-for-speakers/presentation/15953/?q=i18n will not work, but
https://www.openstack.org/summit/barcelona-2016/vote-for-speakers/?q=i18n would be an alternative URL :)

Moreover, it seems that the redirected URL is always https://www.openstack.org/summit/barcelona-2016/vote-for-speakers/presentation/15473 (with additional query), which might emphasize just one presentation. It would be much better if the redirected URL will be changed to the static page, like https://www.openstack.org/summit/barcelona-2016/
