Bug Description

http://docs.openstack.org/liberty/install-guide-rdo/nova-controller-install.html

The guide does not provide the information in
   /usr/share/nova/nova-dist.conf
for mysql connection settings.
If skip this procedure, you can see the error like
  nova OperationalError: (_mysql_exceptions.OperationalError) (1045, "Access denied for user 'nova'@'localhost' (using password: YES)")
because nova-dist.conf default connection settings is
  connection = mysql://nova:nova@localhost/nova
Need to modify password which user specified in mysql configuration.

The configuration in /etc/nova/nova.conf should override anything in /usr/share/nova/nova-dist.conf. Did you make sure 'connection' was under [database] instead of [DEFAULT]?

Thank you for your comments. I found my miss configuration as you mentioned. Actually i set 'connection' in the wrong place instead of [database]. Sorry for confusing. It was not a bug. Please reject and close my report.
Thank you.
