Enhance "Network components" section of Networking Guide

The current "Network Compoents" section of the Networking Guide is just a stub and needs to be fleshed out.

Writers should mark the patch "Work in progress" until it's reviewed by Networking Guide members.

The file intro_networking_components seems to be pretty hashed out...unsure who to ask if it needs more detail. Any ideas who might be able to chime in on this? I dont want to just unassign myself there is actually work we'd like added to it
