Bug Description
The instructions on this page for the Network / Open Stack Networking (neutron) will never work properly.
They clearly state that only a single management network should be defined on the controller node. hovering over the definition of management network says it is clearly not an internet connected network. Then after the network is setup, the instructions say that the controller should attempt to ping a site on the internet. Since we only gave this machine a single interface, and that interface is on a non internet connected management network, the ping will never work.
The same thing applies to the compute node and the network node. They have management interfaces and internal interfaces, but are never given an interface with the ability to connect to the internet; however after setup the guide says to ping the internet with these machines. It will not work due to the lack of an interface connected to the internet.

Thanks Nathan - at quick glance, you're quite right.
We really appreciate this kind of bug report challenging the assumptions in the guide, as we've been staring at it for so long the problems become difficult for us to see :)
