Install the Telemetry module in OpenStack Installation Guide for Ubuntu 12.04/14.04 (LTS) - icehouse

Followed installation guide for ubuntu 14.04.

Getting the following in /var/log/ceilometer-api.log

414 WARNING keystoneclient.middleware.auth_token [-] Unable to find authentication token in headers
414 INFO keystoneclient.middleware.auth_token [-] Invalid user token - rejecting request

All other openstack services are authenticating against keystone just fine.

ceilometer.conf is attached.

Hi,

Looking at your config files, you have several parameters defined in the wrong section :

metering_secret = password
os_auth_url = http://10.100.30.1:5000/v2.0
os_username = ceilometer
os_tenant_name = service
os_password = password

metering_secret should be in the [publisher] section, and the other parameters in the [service_credentials] section.

I had the metering_secret value under [publishing] and the others under [service_credentials], it didn't make a difference, the change was made after noticing the config reference example here:
