The OpenStack gating tests exposed a common occurence of kernel crashes when using neutron on precise with the default kernel during the Icehouse release cycle.
The fix for this was to install the backported kernel from the upcoming LTS (3.20 --> 3.11.0). This is the configuration being used for testing in the gates going forward and is recommended for deployments in the field, especially those that are using Neutron. |
