Following my experience with the python / yaml script to automate keystone setup. I reviewed the files - keystone-init.py and config.yaml. The script performs the same steps (issues commands in same order, uses same values, as in service name, password etc) as the manual steps. I personally found the script very helpful and knew what it was doing because I followed the manual steps a few times.
I will echo Dolph Mathew's concern. Someone new following the manual and uses the script will be pretty un-aware about the steps about configuring keystone and miss out on the fundamentals. This will only lead to more questions and confusion on their part. Doing the manual steps leads to a better understanding of keystone and what it offers to OpenStack.
