install button stays enabled after installation is complete

Am running Dapper Flight 3 (apt-get upgrade from Flight 2) and noticed that whenever the update-notifer finishes installing and applying the updates, the "install" button doesn't get disabled and I can still click on it.

Thought this screenshot would give people the whole picture (pun intended). It seems to me this could be easily done... Just not sure what the real application behind it is called... Would love to give it a shot...
