Automatically maintain the meetings calendar

It would be great if we could maintain the general calendar for meetings with some automation.

Currently people modify a wiki page (https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Meetings) to which I'm subscribed, and I reflect any change to a Google Calendar. This is error-prone and time-consuming.

Ideally we would have some yaml simplified description of meetings that people can modify (through gerrit?) that would be automatically reflected on the common calendar (or .ics feed). Going for a simplified yaml rather than editing directly the cumbersome .ics allow us to set a number of house rules, like everyone should use UTC time.

That said I'm pretty open to any solution that would let me stop having to maintain this manually :)

I think Monty was hoping owncloud calendars could address this but they don't seem to be able to be edited by groups. Clark mentioned an opensource event listing app that I can investigate to see if it would provide the functionality we are looking for.

There is also some potential that openstack-infra/groups could eventually handle general project calendaring in addition to supplanting things like meetup and eventbrite. Being able to get a holistic view of events scheduled throughout the community, including project-wide recurring meetings and foundation events, seems like it has potential value.

I guess, if groups related event handling is working well a specially handled "user group" could fit this feature set. Currently we are focusing on core functionality, and basic integration with openId and meetup.com in short term.

Tagging low-hanging-fruit because the complex solutions don't seem to be getting any traction, and ttx's simple solution should be simple to implement.
