Bug Description

I recently submitted a patch series for review

   https://review.openstack.org/#/q/status:open+project:openstack/nova+branch:master+topic:libvirt-smbios-3,n,z

In the first patch in the series

  https://review.openstack.org/#/c/18081/

Gerrit does not expand the 'Dependencies' panel. This caused confusion amongst reviewers, because there was no indication that this patch was just one of a series of 5. Even if the panel was expanded, it'd only show the next / previous patch.

It would dramatically improve review of patch series, if the "Dependancies" panel would be open & display all 5 patches in the series. The series can be identified by the fact that the patches all have the same topic.

This should probably be reported to http://code.google.com/p/gerrit/issues/list

(I agree it's an issue and would love for it to be fixed; I don't see an immediate workaround.)

Gerrit 2.8 new change screen added a 'related changes' list that lists out all of the dependent changes. There is also a 'same topic' list that shows all of the changes containing the same topic.

We have upgraded to gerrit 2.8. You can find the features I mentioned but only if you switch over to using the new change screen.
