PROBLEM: The MTU override mechanism does not appear to support interfaces without IP addresses inside the container. This negatively impact Neutron provider interfaces inside the agents container, especially when Neutron routers are used in conjunction with jumbo frames.
The template does not allow for the MTU to be set when an address is not defined on the interface:
