http://mirror.jmu.edu/pub/mariadb/repo/5.5/ubuntu appears to be under maintenance.

From https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb/download/mirroring-mariadb/ it appears that the primary repository is actually http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/mariadb/repo/5.5/ubuntu/

    Change MariaDB repo from JMU to OSU

    This patch changes the MariaDB repository used from JMU to OSU, which
    appears to be the primary source repository for all mirrors.

    This has become necessary due to JMU's mirror being unavailable due to
    maintenance.
