UI freeze or crash when loading project file

I was in mid-editing when I experienced a crash. When I loaded the project file again, the project seemed OK, but I could not see the transitions in the UI (although they definitely played in the preview), and all the imported video files were gone from the project. When I imported them back, saved the project, and restarted, I now get a UI freeze every time I try to load the osp file.

I am thinking that for a reason that I don't know, your ops file is corrupted. Try to remove your secret folder in your home and run after Openshot and open the 0sp project.
rm .openshot

I agree, but:
 1. It would be much better if the program would exit cleanly with an error message in such case. A code that crashes is never good.
 2. Maybe looking at the osp can hint at how it got corrupt and uncover the root cause bug.

Agree too. We are working on that and it will be finish only with the future 2.0.
