Bug Description

Playing back my movie result in program abort. The program output is:

python: pthread_mutex_lock.c:62: __pthread_mutex_lock: Assertion `mutex->__data.__owner == 0' failed.
Aborted

OS: Kubuntu 9.10
Install: PPA (2010-03-17)
OpenShot version 1.1.1

The disappearing zoom slider (1.1.0 bug) is fixed and working fine, thanks!

Keep up the good work!
Joacim

I am having this problem so I don't think it is invalid. Same output on the command line:
python: pthread_mutex_lock.c:62: __pthread_mutex_lock: Assertion `mutex->__data.__owner == 0' failed.
Program crashes every time I use it, but works for different amounts of time. Sometimes 1-2 min of use, other times I can use it for as long as an hour. Does not seem to matter what I am doing when it crashes.

I can sometimes recreate this as follows:

1. Load a fairly long .osp file with many complicated PNG file transitions, several audio clips, lots of tracks, etc.
2. Have a background image that is constant, and two overlapping audio soundtracks.
3. Play the video.
4. Stop the video.
5. Jump ahead in the video.
6. Play the video.
7. Use the mouse to scroll the track list up and down.

I can also recreate this as follows:

1. Open a fairly long and complex .osp file (3 - 5 minutes long).
2. Click play.
3. Wait.

Eventually it will crash.

I get this error on a fairly simple project. It has 4 input files arranged on 2 tracks. the files overlap a bit in preparation to add transitions. the source files are on a remote nfs server, gigabit ethernet. total size of 4 files is ~139MB.

If I started the program from the desktop menu link i wasnt getting any feedback why it closed, so I started it from the command line as follows.

rperkins@htpc:~/Desktop$ openshot school_clothes.osp

i did some more searching and found this thread that discussed a missing dependency on frei0r-plugins ( not ...pjugins)

https://bugs.launchpad.net/openshot/+bug/586672

I played the project once and it didnt crash, which is an improvement.

so I guess this bug is a missing dependency .

thanks for the program

Same crash:
python: pthread_mutex_lock.c:62: __pthread_mutex_lock: Assertion `mutex->__data.__owner == 0' failed.

I was just playing a clip (two tracks: an wmv track and an mp3 track) after three minutes it crashed without any action on my part. No idea how to reproduce.

Platform: Ubuntu 10.04, openshot 1.1.3-1, ffmpeg 4:0.5.1-1ubuntu, libmlt2 0.5.4-1, No frei0r-plugins installed.

You should check if you have the mp3 installed like it is explained here : https://answers.launchpad.net/openshot/+faq/1040
And install the freiOr-plugins (obligatory !!!!)
Thanks.
