I'm trying to make a music video remix and every time I add a clip or do an edit it crashes. I have to save change save reboot prog and soforth.It crashes every added clip. it takes hours to do what should take minutes. I have an i3 daul core 3rd gen with 4gb ddr3 ram on Ubuntu 13.1 64bit.

What do you use ? FFmpeg or Avconv/LibAv ?

If it is the second solution, remove Avconv/Libav, (its will remove all
applicaitons using this one like Openshot) add this PPA ()
https://launchpad.net/~jon-severinsson/+archive/ffmpeg and install FFmpeg
