Bug Description
The user can currently not see whatever a track upload succeeds, fails because of connectivity problems or bad authentication or something else. We should at least make sure the user is somehow alerted if the upload fails.

When the failing activity is a normal, expected condition (such as when travelling in areas with no cell coverage), it's better to show something similar to a "low battery" icon rather than forcing user interaction with something like a modal message box. When the failing activity is anything not directly supporting the primary activity (helping the user navigate to their destination), it's *always* better to avoid user interaction.
The user can be made aware of the failure via the icon, and they can use a config screen along with a "Test" button to get things working again. It makes the code more simple too - only one place to enter config details.
