Audible Turn-By-Turn functionality.

Hey.

I've been looking at getting this sorted.

However, this will be impossible using yournavigation because they don't have any functionality for downloading turn-by-turn instructions.

In the wiki they say this is coming. Has anyone made contact with them to see how long this will be?

cloudmade and openrouteservice.org both provide these instructions...

Hi all, i've used Andnav2 for twice, and a week ago I looked into the source code and found that they have some mp3 files (in Engish of course), with route speechs as you can see here: http://code.google.com/p/andnav/source/browse/#svn/trunk/AndNav2/ext/voices/british_joy

I dont know if they really use this mp3 files or if they use text to speech (TTS). If they use this mp3 files, I know 2 people wich have been working for radio programs (a boy and a girl), and i could record them to use it for SPANISH voices.

Are you going to use audio files (mp3, ogg) or are you going to use similar programs to Text To Speech?

I don't know the technical detail, but I'd like to use an open format, such as ogg.

I think Text To Speech is the best way. I would like to have things like, "In x metres, turn left onto y street". Also, it will be really annoying to get new recordings for all languages if we ever need to. Thanks for the offer though.
