Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-impress

Version: 2.0.4-0ubuntu2

Drag and Drop Functions different than Insert > Picture > From File...

TEST CASE:
Procedure:
1) Create a presentation in OOo Impress
2) Drag and drop an image (jpg) from nautilus to the presentation
3) Add the same image to the presentation using Insert > Picture > From File...
4) Save and close presentation
5) Move image file (i.e. to trash)
6) Open presentation

Result:
Dialog saying: /confusing/something/theimage.jpg does not exist.
The image that was Dragged/Dropped is a square with red text instead of the image
The image that was added with Insert > Picture > From File... is working properly

Expected:
  Presentation containing both images

I am able to reproduce this with OOo 2.2.0-0ubuntu2

I checked and Writer doesn't behave like this. Drag and drop behaves the same as Insert > Picture > From File...

This appears not to be fixed in 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2 The dragged image is still missing. That said, I don't this this issue should influence whether 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2 gets moved to -updates.

I didn't actually verify it had fixed that bug saw mention of it in the changelog. So its ok that is not fixed in hardy. I will contact the person who apparently thought they fixed the bug to see why it still doesn't work though.

Thanks,

Chris

The bug is still an issue. Moreover, it creates links even when inserting while Insert->Picture->From file.

I'll need manually break links from Edit->Links

version 2.4.1-11ubuntu2.1
