Tooltips in OpenOffice.org should have the window type ToolTip. Instead, they have Normal or something else. I noticed this because I have different Compiz effects targeted to different window types.

Thanks for reporting this bug and making Ubuntu better.
However, to support you better, we might need the following information :
1) Release number of OpenOffice and Ubuntu
2) Can you share a screenshot of the effect.

I'm using the latest Hardy, with OOo 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2
I can't really share a screenshot... it's the fact that the tooltips everywhere else do one thing, and OOo tooltips do another, which leads me to believe they are a different window type.

A screenshot would be pointless. This should be filed in the OpenOffice bug tracker so they can fix it.

If the problem persists, please mark this bug as "also affects project Libreoffice" or "also affects distribution Libreoffice (Ubuntu)" if that has not happened already.

Please leave references to upstream OpenOffice.org bugs in place to allow cross pollination.
