Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-calc

I have a spread sheet, saved in .xls format.

The spread sheet contains two sheets.

Changes made to cells on one sheet appear on the other sheet.

I can email the spread sheet if it helps find this bug.

Forgot to say, running Gutsy, up to date as of 2008 01 23.

Created this sheet in OO.calc and saved as xls for compatibility with the misguided.

Do you happen to have this sheet in ods format or was it saved out as xls initially?

In attachment ods file, sheet Results has been copied to end position as Results 2. The function references are copied incorrectly and refer to the wrong sheets. Compare Sheets Results and Results 2. Delete Results 2 and copy Result again again to end position. The errors are consistent. I generated a new sheet and copied Result using this empty sheet as a reference point, but the error was still the same.

Cliff Kachinske, this was unreproducible in LibreOffice Calc. Does this work for you? If your using Lucid or Maverick feel free to type at a Terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y upgrade && sudo apt-get -y install libreoffice-calc

Seems to be working OK.

If the problem recurs I'll open another ticket.

Thanks

[This is an automated message.]
There are no new official OpenOffice.org releases in Ubuntu packaging anymore => Won't Fix

If the problem persists, please mark this bug as "also affects project Libreoffice" or "also affects distribution Libreoffice (Ubuntu)" if that has not happened already.

Please leave references to upstream OpenOffice.org bugs in place to allow cross pollination.
