Ferdinand, I'm closing this bug as Invalid because your description does not explain where you think there is a bug or how you reproduced it, or in which version(s), etc. To me it looks like a bad configuration issue, as far as I can see.
Please, we need this required information in every bug report, otherwise we all waste a lot of time.

Thanks, it's easier to diagnose when you actually mention what you are doing :-)

The thousands separator algorithm was rewritten at revision 3415 to make it much simpler and readable, but it introduced a small incompatibility for legacy values. This has now been fixed in trunk at revision 3834 revid: <email address hidden>

Note however that [3,3,3,3] is probably not what you meant, as it will only put up to 3 commas. For a comma every 3 digits (including when the number has more than 12 digits) you should use [3,0].
