[ALL] Export all records of a table

When we want to export a table using the Export/Import feature available in the UI, we have to show and select all records. But when we have something like 30 000 records, we get a timeout (not surprising). What could be better is to have the option to export every records without having to select them.

I agree with Sickle. I have the same problem. I am not able to export all of my partners from OpenERP using the import/export functions. This is not a "wishlist" - this is supposed to be a basic feature of OpenERP. What sickle proposed is simply a workaround for the bug that too much information gets loaded so that there is a timeout.

In any result, I need to export all of my partner's records.

In my experience, this is probably the thing most customers complain about OpenERP data export.

Even in really poor ERPs its easy to export all data at a time and it is a shame that having all the infrastructure code, that feature is not there.

Same problem on v6.1
For me it's a bug we have a dynamic behaviour with selection. This behaviour works with others actions (as print report) but not for export.

Export can be essential for some company. Particulary, when you must exchange data with your partners.

It would also be helpfull if time-consuming exports could be submitted to a background process, with the possibility for the user to pick up the resulting file when ready.
