Bug Description

When you try to create a report with iReport 5, and try to import into OpenERP 6.1, there's an error about an "uuid" parameter into the jrxm file.

The solution is delete the uuid references inside the file, but is it possible to update the parser of openerp's jasper module?

Hi everybody,

Hi Reccardo,

and yes i steel encoutring the same issue, with iReport Versions 5.1 and 5.0....You can simply delete from you .JRXML all uuid="....." params.....and your report should work without issue, i tested that and its working...

You can change your compatibility from iReport to 4.0 ... NOTICE, (SAVE UR ORIGINAL FILE FIRST, IT MAY BE CHANGED AFTER YOU SAVE ) and don't just change report and compile, but change something on it, and press on SAVE button, this way a dialog will appear telling you which version to compile with.... and i Confirme UUID param will not appear anymore.!

( You can do that by going to iReport then menu -> tools -> Options -> general -> Compatibility and change it to 4.0.......

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

an other thing and more interesting, if i follow my first solution by removing all uuid params from JRXML file, im steel wondring if i will lose some properties and styles from my reports, Because from time to time, im not getting all styles and allignements i gived to my report in iReport when im working on OPENERP.........So the question is :

Is because i remove Uuid from .JRXML files, or it is just because of the Module Jasper_reports that couldn't generate all styles ????

Hope this will help you Riccardo, and hope someone will connect with us on this issue..
