Strange, I can see it translated here (code is at
client/bin/widget/view/interface.py:47 )

Are you sure you have the .po file right and compiled it into .mo ?
(note that the language there (Gtk gui) only changes at the first login into a
db where the user has language set)

Ah, we thought otherwise on the original post.

I suggest that we add both menu entries, about defaults and about
translations, in that popup.

And that would be a new usability feature.

and "tranlsate view" should finally display ALL terms (which are not field related)
IMHO strings (group, field) from inherited views are missing
