Bug Description

I just switched to Google Chrome because it is supposed to be the fastest web browser under Linux.

However, with OpenERP I have problem with the "links", which don't open at all.

For example, when my product is open, none of the links at right works (nothing happens).
When I am in an CRM opportunity and click "Add Internal Note" (History tab), nothing happens.

Using mozilla Firefox, all of these actions open a new tab in the browser.

Has OpenERP been tested with Chrome? Is this something that can be corrected?

Hello Leigh,

I have tested your scenario with latest code at my end on Google chrome but it is working same as a Mozilla Firefox. So all are working fine and i am closing this bug. If you still face problem then you can reopen it.

Thanks.

I managed to change my Chrome configuration so that I get a new window
instead of opening up a tab. But I have not managed to get the actions
to open up a tab. I am working with a new install of Chrome. Do you
have any parameters of Chrome that you changed to get new tabs to open?

Thanks,
Leigh

Hello Leigh Willard,

Thanks for the reporting, from your last comment i am confirming this bug.
The act_window should be open in new tab for all browsers.

Thanks.

Hello Leigh Willard,

chrome is the antithesis of firefox's "get back the web".
in IE7 also popup will open in new window.
There is an option to open in tab instead of window.
 -> Install `One Window` Extension for chrome.
Then Restart web client.
It will work.

Thanks.

We have no control whatsoever over Chrome's decisions to open links and actions in tabs or windows (especially not to force a tab instead of a window). You will have to configure Chrome to fit your wants.
