Type of invoicing should be read only in analytic entries

Hi,

Before invoicing you have to check the invoicing rate in line to invoice, all analytic entries...

If you delete the previous rate and you click the magnifying glass you can add a new rate.
But if you forgot to delete the rate and you click on the folder icon you can change the rate for the line you are editing but for all the lines just by clicking the save button. So the end user can modify the Types of invoicing without any warning for all the database!

In the GTK client you can't modify the Types of invoicing directly : you have to click the New button to add a new rate.

I'm looking for the way to edit the 'Types of invoicing' table. I hoped to find it in Financial Management/Configuration but it's not here!

Hi,

I have checked the problem which you have described above. I went through the sequence, I came to know that in both GTK and Web client it works same way.
You can also allowed to change in GTK and web client without warning message but it does not get affected to the lines if the lines are posted.

I tried again with GTK , I'm not able to change an existing invoicing type when I check the lines to invoice for example. How can I do that?

My point of view it's too easy with the web client.

Please tell us the flow (sequence) you are doing to generate your problem. Because when i go to Financial Management/ Configuration/ Analytic Accounting/ Analytic charts of accounts => open one analytic account on it..I see Invoicing field on view, i tried to modify it with different invoicing rate and try to save in web-client or Gtk i got warning (You can not modify an invoiced analytic line!). It save or modify the Type of invoicing. But it cant save or modify Analytic Entries lines.

So better is to give complete (functional) flow/detail so that we can check your problem.

My problem is not to modify an invoiced analytic line.

Before invoicing you have to check the invoiced rate.

Financial Management/Charts/Analytic chart of accounts. Then click the Open charts button.

Select a project, the analytic lines of the project are shown.

You can edit a line to modify the invoicing (rate) field. By clicking the folder icon a new window opens(called Type of invoicing). If you modify the rate in this window , you change the rate for all the uninvoiced lines. So the end user can easy modify this rate that is not doable with the GTK client.

So I think the Type of invoicing window should be readonly to avoid to modify the rate.

I have attached Gtk-client screenshot and also web-client screenshot. Its functional thing if its able to edit or update from gtk-client it also do the same thing in webclient. If you want Type of invoicing window should be readonly to avoid to modify the rate, then please create a blue print for that or report a bug for server side.
