Bug Description

Create a project with 2 members.
Create a task, goto search view res.users -> you can choose somebody who is not a project member ...
This should not be possible.

Hello Peter,

You brought the right point out as far as my live environment is concerned.

In another aspect, if you are a project manager of a Project, you can only create a task for the projects in which you are a manager or one of the members.

For the sake of consistency, Assignee also should follow the standard. You should be able to select only members of the project selected.

A very important point brought into notice.

I have checked your Issue But I am not agree with your this point. because we can not restricted the manger with project member.

Lets see with different scenario,
while number of project are running under the one manager. At that time , manger have arise requirement of swapping member from one project to the another project. If we are restricted to the manager so how can swapping a member.
In other way, If we are not add the member in project. So manager can not assign a task ???????

I think this Issue need more Suggestion That's why I am setting this as "Opinion".

@Experts: Would you please share your view on this.

Hello Peter, Amit,

We have found a way and it has been architectured as a module, which has been committed to community branches as per the repos shown under 'Related Branches'.

Its hard that this fix get added to stable release unless one has an OPW. So, you can add this module to your system and check to make sure it fits your need.

Adding it into stable is completely risk-free too. So, one can go with the OPW way too.
