l10n_chart_cn in extra-addons has wrong file encoding

When I access the following file

all Chinese characters are changed with question marks ���ʲ�

Running Ubuntu 10.04 server and desktop with both Chinese input and display. I can access without problems other files with chinese characters.

This issue is related with font.You need to make the support for related font in your system.
Our R&D Teams are focused on the latest OpenERP version, and this issue does not affect it.

Hi VRA,
that is not correct. I have all necessary fonts in my systems and read
and write Chinese language every day . I have discussed it OpenERP
Chinese localization team and this is due to the file you provide in
standard which is incorrect. The file provided by the Chinese team works
perfectly for me.
I have tried to get them focus on main openERP branch but I am not sure
it is done.

The problem of GTK has been resolved for trunk.

Now the problem remains with Report only.

Please disregard the connection with bug 633991 (which I removed from duplicates), and only consider the original description of this bug, which is basically an encoding problem in the XML files of the l10n_chart_cn community modules (in extra addons, both 5.0 and trunk)

As explained before, these modules are not maintained like official addons, but are available for update to the community. Someone who can read chinese might be able to fix them.

In any case, you can simply now use the newly-merged l10n_ch chart of accounts, in the official v6.0 addons. See for example that the account_chart files is correctly encoded: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~openerp/openobject-addons/trunk/annotate/head:/l10n_cn/account_chart.xml

Also, digitalsatori seems to be willing to fix the old files in extra-addons, so we can keep the bug assigned to him.
