Allow search on supplier part number

When a customer requests information on an item, it would be nice if the search allowed for search on supplier part number.

i.e.:

Part : Camcorder A/V cable 6'
Local reference: 34106
EAN: (not available - part is UPC barcoded)
Supplier: Philmore
Supplier part number: 42-3506

Search field allows for item, local reference, EAN code, but not on supplier part number.

There are times when a customer calls and asks about a specific supplier part and I am unable to find where I can look without already knowing what our local part is.

Hi,

The supplier part number (supplier's product code) will be used when printing a request for quotation. we can Keep empty to use the internal reference one.

When quotation for purchase order created, supplier part number is used in product's "description" in order line. You can search product by default code (internal code) but not its supplier part number.

opnerp generic fuctoinality does not provide search through one2many's fields.

In the end you can customized by yourseft to get supplier part number in searchview.
