Bug Description

Chatter Messaging Feature

Reply recipients, from and to email address, showing but when clicking send it does not send to the recipients but only result in a blank when you view it in technical setting > email > messages.. there was no value in Recipients and Notified Recipients..

And also when you full view the reply to a email composition wizard just noticed the sender's user email address and the email address of the one who sends the message was missing.

I have updated openerp to the latest code version..openerp_7.0-20130403-231713-1.tar.gz on a debian linux server and using Chrome and Firefox(both latest).

I have checked your issue with latest trunk as well with 7.0. But Its working fine at all. So, Would you please check it agian with latest code and correct me if I did wrong in any way.

Hence, marking it as incomplete.

Hello,

I'm experiencing a similar problem. When a new project.issue is created from an incoming email address which is not registered in OpenERP contacts, the field "email_from" of the issue is not set, hence, the automated response is not sent to the customer.

It works fine when the incoming mail address is registered in OpenERP (and related to a partner)

I'm running OpenERP Version 7.0-20130505-232411

I believe the problem is that the email address obtained from the incoming email is not correctly stored in the target record (project.issue or crm.lead).

If I create a new issue/lead from an email address which is registered in OpenERP contacts, the field "email_from" stored in the new issue/lead contains a "clean" email like: <email address hidden>

But if I create a new issue/lead from an email address which is NOT registered in OpenERP contacts, the field "email_from" stored in the new issue/lead contains something like: Name Surname <email address hidden>.

In this second scenario, when you try to send an automated response email using the placeholder ${object.email_from} in a template, OpenERP is not able to obtain the clean email address, and tries to send the email to: &lt;<email address hidden>&gt, where,

  * '&lt' is the HTML entity for 'less than' character: '<'
  * '&gt;' is the HTML entity for 'greater than' character '>'

I've noticed when configuring the field "To (Emails)" in the template with a valid email address and using the placeholder in the field Cc. I've seen "Cc: &lt;<email address hidden>&gt" in the received email.

By the way, I see "importance: Undecided ? Medium" in your report. IMHO this issue is important, since now we can not send an automatic response to potential millionaire clients who contact us ;)

Please Twinkle, let us know if you find a workaround.
