[trunk/7.0] task - kanban - must show all possible states

currently only states with at least one task are shown (pls see attachment)
especially at the beginning this is confusing as moving a task to the next state (Testing) can only be done in form view.

I have check issue with latest trunk as well as with 7.0. And more I cannot consider it as a bug because as I shown you in above video you can fold other state from the right top toggle and can easily move task from one to another state. So, I am closing this issue and I am marking it as a invalid.

The current behavior about folding empty stages is intended and is therefore not considered as a bug.

I hardly can believe that it is "by design" that when starting up a company you can NOT use kanban view to move the first task to the next stage.

the kanban view only "works" if at least one task is in each stage, otherwise the target columns are not visible

If you need/want to display all states in your kanban, you should use a _group_by_full map

I am sorry to say in trunk (from last week) states without task are still not shown.

Many users will not be able to move a task to a not displayed state without help.

Example
there is one task in "Design" - move this task to another state and reload the task page
the Design column is not displayed any more

the only workaround to display it again is to open a task in form view and click the "Design" status.

It is difficult to make S.A. change their mind...

At least by defining _group_by_full for the models you want to show all stages, you can get what you want...

Maybe we can focus on requesting them to include it on those models that currently don't have it but will benefit from that...
