Now: When you duplicate a product with a BOM, you get a product with no BOM.

When you duplicate a product with a BOM, the BOM should follow in the product copy.

Filling a BOM can take a looong time.

Its not a good idea to duplicate the BOM when duplicate the product cause it will confusing a lot.

We can consider this suggestion because we can't agree with this, as well as you can see on all object we are not allow to same duplication on it.

Are you talking about confusion from the point of view of the user or the programmer? I am a user, not a programmer. I can't imagine how copying the BOM would cause confusion for the user. Can you explain or give me an example of this confusion? Maybe this is a case where the underlying programming is complex but from the point of view of the user the process is obvious and very desirable.

Fundamentally, a BOM represents a certain amount of work to create. Just like entering all the contact information for a partner. A means to avoid repeating this work is highly desirable. We can duplicate a contact. We should be able to duplicate a BOM in one way or another. Duplication of the BOM at the time of product duplication is one way. An additional way could be a "duplicate" option somewhere when dealing with BOMs.

Correction: There exists a way to duplicate BOMs.

I propose that duplicating the BOM when duplicating a Product should be classified as a "wish", a time-saver.

Without being aware of the technical issues (although 'copy' permissions on the BOM model cannot be the problem) I confirm this report with priority 'wishlist'.
