Bug Description

When playing videos on the live screen, if you set the volume to 0 and then replay the video, the volume remains muted but the volume control is set back to 100%.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Play a video live
2. Drag volume control to 0
3. Stop video
4. Play video again. Notice how the volume control now shows 100%
5. Note that the volume is still muted
6. Drag the volume control around and note how the volume is restored

Changed in openlp:
importance: Undecided → Medium
milestone: none → 2.1.4

I can reproduce this, but only with VNC selected.

When Webkit is selected, the behaviour is:

1. Play a video live (btw. there is an exception if I do this step)
2. Drag volume control to 0
3. Stop video
4. Play video again. Notice how the volume control now shows 100%
5. Note that the volume is NOT muted

I looked a bit into this one, and as far as I can tell we actually do pass the volume to VLC, but just fails (it returns -1). And it seems others have seen it as well: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18377351/libvlc-how-to-change-volume-during-playback

Aside of this vlc issue, is it correct, that, when the user sets the volume to zero and starts playing, the volume goes automatically to 100%?
I don't think so.

Linked my branch which solves the problem that the volume is set to 100% when start playing.
This does not solve the vlc problem. Don't know what to do here...

Oliver, I tested out your branch, and it worked for me on all media players: Phonon, WebKit and VLC.
