Bug Description

While running OpenLP on Ubuntu 12.04, the remote display to Screen 2 fails to update when selecting a new verse for the active song. Note, however, that the Live panel in the control window *does* update as expected.

The system is running Ubuntu 12.04 with kernel 3.2.0-49; the graphics card powering both displays is an ATI Radeon HD 5450; I have AMD's Catalyst 13.251 installed; I am experiencing the problems with OpenLP 2.0.4

I attempted to workaround the issue by enabling "Bypass X11" but that causes the display on Screen 1 to be blocked by a blue full-screen artifact and renders OpenLP completely unusable.

STEP 1:
     Launch openlp
Expected Result:
The splash screen (OpenLP logo) should be displayed on a white background on Screen 2
Actual Result:
The display on Screen 2 is solid white with no logo visible

STEP 2:
Move focus away from OpenLP (e.g. click on another window or outside of OpenLP's main window)
Result:
Screen 2 display updates to display logo as expected in step 1

STEP 3:
Right-click on a song in the Media Manager
Click "Live" in the popup menu
Expected Results:
Live Panel should update with the song verse list
Preview window at the bottom of the Live Panel should update with the display for the first verse in the selected song
Screen 2 should update to exactly match the display shown in the preview window displayed at the bottom of the Live Panel
Actual Results:
Live Panel updates exactly as expected; all verses are shown correctly, first verse is selected by default, preview window below verse list show the first verse with default theme
Screen 2 continues to display logo as at the end of Step 2

Note that the process can be repeated; moving focus away from OpenLP reliably force-updates the second display.

This should be fixed by either upgrading to OpenLPs beta, and/or upgrading to ubuntu 14.04 and thereby upgrading drivers etc. If not, re-open.

Changed in openlp:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Fix Released
