javascript error with ie in "edit author"

With "IE 8.0.7600.16385 64-bit" there is a javascript error on loading, so that a few other things fail. In the consequence it is not possible to add a link to the author. Maybe some other things won't work too.

With FF everything is fine.

The reported line is 2224 with the code

    var f = new Function(["__s", "env"], js.join("\n"));

Any ideas?

There are problems with IE all over the place. Some edit functions work, some don't. Not working:

- add excerpts to a book
- add links to a book
- add links to an author

Looks like a serious thing to me because it locks out a lot of people from editing and contributing.
