Bug Description
When narrowing a search result by published date it would be useful to favour the books that were written near that date.
For example on this subjects page for books published in 2008 the "classics" are still featured most prominently. It would be useful to increase the importance of books written near that date.

Yes, you're right. This is one of the foibles of using the Work level to describe things. All those classics have editions that were published in 2008.
Maybe there's a way we could have the First Published date attached to a Work, and have that influence this display somehow.
