Question on Works & Dumps

This isn't a bug, so my apologies for asking this in the wrong place (is there a development forum or something?)

I need to convert the OL database to a Works-centric MySQL db for a project I'm working on and could use help with a few questions..

Do the current dumps available have good works data? Upstream shows works as a new feature, so would it be best for me to wait for that to release? (The works db I need doesn't have to be perfect.. but the more unique fiction works, the better)

Has the works table been separated from editions yet, as suggested at http://openlibrary.org/about/work_edition?

Is this (http://ia310833.us.archive.org/2/items/ol-backup/) the most recent dump available? Are the bookdump files the same thing as the edition dumps, or is that something I should also download?
