Bug Description

Edward, this is really more a query than a bug.

I happened upon a pretty esoteric subject - slug worms. Clicked through to the author, William Dandridge Peck, to find that two seemingly identical edition records exist under his name:

http://openlibrary.org/a/OL156526A/William-Dandridge-Peck
"Natural history of the slug worm" both published by Young & Minns in 1799.

Can you tell me - is this the sort of duplicate that you're already working to merge? If so, what's missing from those two records to allow you to do that?

This seems to be a good case for two notes in the Work page's history for this book:

First history record:
"26 June 2009: This Work page was created thanks to an initial record from the Library of Congress, about the 1799, printed by Young & Minns edition."

Second history note:
"4 August 2009: We discovered that the Boston Public Library also has a record of this work."

Or, something like that...
