Bug Description
I had an offlist discussion with JJ re: the Open Library logo.
I thought it might be good to give little history behind the logo - it has been a part of the OL UI since the project's inception. The ornate border around is literally a scan off of the cover of a public domain book that I modified and converted to vector art. Whenever a user provides a translation to the term "Open Library", we create a new version of the logo for i18n.

We could possible automatically generate a graphic based on the i18n string using an imaging library - but I would imagine the results would not be too good. We handcraft each logo, and often select the best font for the language. We follow <a href="http://

We have pages for a dozen more languages, but no translation for the phrase "Open Library" - I will create a logo for these when translations are available (da, el, fr, hu, ja, pt, ro, ru, sh, sl, vi, mn). I also have unicode problems with 2 entries (bn, my) and 4 other pages do not render at all (id, it, sv, zu) - I will file this under a separate bug.
It is good to see so many translations in progress. openlibrary. org/i18n )
