Bug Description

Types of author: Person, organisation, event, country

Right now we have birth and death dates in /type/author, they only apply to people. I'm thinking about adding some more fields to /type/author, these are copied from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Infobox_Writer :

pseudonym, birth name, birth place, death place, occupation, nationality, ethnicity, citizenship, education, alma mater, period, genre, subject, movement, spouse, partner, children, relatives, influences, influenced and awards

There are different ways to implement this. We could have inheritance, and say /type/person is a /type/author, or we could drop the requirement that the things in the /type/edition author list are of a specific type.

I think it would be easier to try to connect to some other name authority source online, rather than try to become one ourselves. I'm happy to discuss it though :)
