Same after removing Thunderbird "pkg uninstall thunderbird" but with Firefox but Gnome depends on Firefox.

I have exactly the same failure in the download phase with mail/thunderbird, and exactly the same checksum numbers are reported.

I had the same problem with thunderbird, did the same (pkg uninstall), fell again in the same trap with firefox.
However, with repeated tries it did work, and I ended up with putting pkg.openindiana.org in /etc/hosts, as mentioned on twitter, bypassing the cache, which may cause the problem
No errors after that.
I suppose the problem comes from the size of files in thunderbird and firefox...

Same problem here with firefox, seems like a broken redirect somewhere. If I modify the URL that results (http://~0~pkg-origin...) from the redirect by removing the ~0~ substring, the download works.

Changed in openindiana:

We're just in the process of moving the pkg.oi.o zone to another physical server. Currently the server it is on has serious IO performance issues, which is resulting in broken downloads/timeouts and the CDN has some incomplete content cached on it.

Once the move is complete, we'll flush the CDN cache.

We also need to make some changes to Apache on pkg.oi.o, but these need to be made once the zone move is complete.

Will update the ticket once this is done.

The migration is done, and the cache issues should be gone as well.
